    Lack of sleep?

  • morgssss:

The puffiness could be from crying, and the dark circles lack of sleep.

  • Tsunami:

it can be either drugs or not enough sleep they say now that you have to have 8 hours of sleep a nite and that is what everyone shoudl have period.

  • Houda M:

    no sleep.
    get more sleep

  • Gothic SparX:

    insomnia!
take sleeping pills or use garnier eye rejuvenation cream or concealer to cover it up.

  • Yumi-san:

lack of sleep, try to sleep earier and eat breakfast!

  • DevynDisaster:

Dark circles are caused by not getting enough sleep!
So to prevent it and hopefully get rid of them get more sleep.

But I don’t know about puffiness.

  • Oliveuhhh .:

prolly from not having enough sleep,
try drinkig more water and getting more rest at nightt.

there is certain makeup that can cover it up too.

Blood vessels near the surface of the skin.

Here were a few suggestions and a decent article:

Gently massage saffron or almond oil on the dark area before going to bed.
Dip cotton pads in fig juice, rosewater, or cold milk. Lie down with your feet raised higher than your head, then place the wet pads on your closed eyes. Stay that way for 10 minutes.

There’s no real cause for it… Doctors can’t pinpoint it. Lack of sleep, stress and even a family history of dark circles under the eyes are all possible contributors. The first 2 are obviously posible to prevent with the right mindset, but a family history of it is impossible.

  • Casey:

I get about 13 hours of sleep ever night I don’t do drugs but I look constantly stoned explain that!

  • Micheline:

Blood actually pools under the skin, and because the skin under the eyes are so thin, it causes the discoloration. And water retention also adds to the puffiness.
Making sure you get enough sleep helps, and also use a cool compress on them.
    Good luck!

  • the answer to all your quesstion:

it could be tiredness or hayfever or even an elergic reaction, so
    a) get more sleep
    b) buy some hayfever relief tablets
    c) figure out what you are allergic to and avoid contact with it

    xox hope it helps

Usually lack of sleep, lack of water or allergies. To help this, try splashing your face with very cold water, or put an ice pack or wet tea bags on them for a while. Also, put vitamin E oil under your eyes before you go to bed and when you wake up. When you use it in the morning, leave it on there for as long as you can and wipe off before you leave your house. Put it under your eyes and all around your eyes as well. Make sure to take a multi-vitamin too. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Oil of olay sells something for dark circles and puffiness. Look online for details on oil of olay. They sell a lot of under eye cream or gels for puffiness and dark circles too. Again, check out the oil of olay section at Target.

Adapted from The Herbal Home Spa, by Greta Breedlove (Storey Books, 1998).

Nobody looks good with puffy bags or dark circles under their eyes, but how to get rid of them?

SIMPLE SOLUTION: Well, this is the easiest remedy I’ve ever run across, and it really works!

I was so surprised by the single kitchen-cupboard ingredient that this How-To calls for–it’s not a cucumber, and you’re sure to have one on hand. Find out the secret here:

Raw potato slices will help tighten baggy, puffy eyes. All you need is a potato and a knife or slicer!

    To Make:

    1. Slice 1/4 potato to fit over your eyes.

    2. Cut 2 slices or, if you prefer, 5 to 10 very thin slices, several for each eye. Either method works.

    To Use:

    1. Spritz eye area with water.

    2. Lying down, place the potato slices on your eyelids and leave in place for at least 10 minutes for best results.

Then prick a vitamin K capsule and apply the oil to under the eye. Leave it on all night.

    Hope this helps!!!
